About
Hi, I’m Varun Vaidhiya — a Software Engineer based in the UK, working at the intersection of AI, Robotics, and systems-level performance.
My focus is on optimising AI models through benchmarking, understanding low-level hardware behaviour, and delivering best-in-class solutions for performance-critical systems. I’m particularly interested in running AI efficiently on edge hardware and ARM architectures.
I build what excites me and release it all as open source — from ROS-based robots and AI inference toolkits to blockchain applications and data science case studies.
What I Work On
- AI & Performance Optimisation — Benchmarking AI models, profiling with Perfetto, and squeezing performance out of constrained hardware
- Robotics — ROS-based systems, autonomous vehicles, sensor fusion (Kinect v2, LiDAR)
- Low-level Programming — ARM architecture, embedded systems, hardware-software co-design
- AI on Edge / Arm — Making AI inference efficient on ARM and mobile devices
- ML & Data Science — EDA, predictive modelling, classification, SQL analytics
